The technology behind CoolSculpting was based on the simple observation, that children who ate a lot of popsicles developed dimples, due to a loss of fat in their cheeks from excessive exposure to cold. The procedure works by delivering controlled cooling to gently and effectively target fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected.
